"Dupani graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp in 2018. Her paintings explore rhythms of organic growth processes and emerge from an energetic, inner awareness, rather than from control or a rational concept. During the search for harmony in the chaos of creation, figures intrude, whose right to exist is gradually evaluated. By layering colourful, quick-drying acrylic paint over and against each other, Dupani creates a play of perspective, depth and dynamism. The pulsating, vibrating layers of colour and surreal-looking shapes, play with attraction and perception. With every look, different details come to the fore. Dupani's universe is reminiscent of underwater worlds or fauna and flora deep in a forest. Although inspired by microbiological studies, her imagery rather revolves around the external morphology of organisms. Mythical and real, specific and universal, humans and animals find each other in her creatures and environments. The whole world becomes one, as Dupani works from the fabric that connects all living beings. Thus, her work also constitutes a subtle questioning of how humans interact with natural phenomena, but above all, she is concerned with the cosmic inseparability of humans, animals and nature." ~ translation of text written by Tamara Beheydt

Dupani studeerde in 2018 af aan de Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten in Antwerpen. Haar schilderijen onderzoeken ritmes van organische groeiprocessen en ontstaan vanuit een energiek, innerlijk bewustzijn, eerder dan vanuit controle of een rationeel concept. Tijdens de zoektocht naar harmonie in de chaos van creatie, dringen zich figuren op, waarvan het bestaansrecht geleidelijk geëvalueerd wordt. Door kleurrijke, sneldrogende acrylverf in lagen over en tegen elkaar te plaatsen, creëert Dupani een spel van perspectief, diepte en dynamiek. De pulserende, vibrerende kleurlagen en surrealistisch aandoende vormen, spelen met aantrekking en perceptie. Bij elke blik komen andere details naar de voorgrond. Het universum van Dupani doet denken aan onderwaterwerelden of fauna en flora diep in een woud. Hoewel geïnspireerd door microbiologische onderzoeken, draait haar beeldtaal eerder rond de uitwendige morfologie van organismen. Mythisch en reëel, specifiek en universeel, mens en dier vinden elkaar in haar wezens en omgevingen. De hele wereld wordt één, omdat Dupani werkt vanuit het weefsel dat alle levende wezens met elkaar verbindt. Zo vormt haar werk ook een subtiele bevraging van hoe de mens met natuurverschijnselen omgaat, maar vooral gaat het haar om de kosmische onlosmakelijkheid van mens, dier en natuur. ~ Tamara Beheydt
